Kea 1 - 30 MHz NMR spectrometer
The Kea NMR spectrometer is a completely different to any NMR spectrometer you have seen before. It weighs less than 5 kg (11 lbs) and has a footprint of 36 cm x 23 cm (12" x 8") and is only 15 cm (5") high which means it can be easily moved and operated in almost any environment. The Kea can operate on a standard 24V DC power supply in the lab, or on batteries in the field.

Modular and Flexible
The Kea spectrometer is modular and can be easily customised for your requirements. For instance it can be supplied either with or without the internal RF amplifier and preamp/duplexor modules, which is useful for integration with existing systems. The Imaging module (coming soon) will allow an easy upgrade path for control of up to 4 gradients.
Portable
The Kea spectrometer is lightweight and small so it is convenient to use in almost any environment. By using batteries the Kea has even been used in remote locations such as Antarctica!
Direct digital transmit and detect
There are no intermediate frequencies used in the analog part of the Kea which means no quadrature issues. The Kea digital transmit and receive module directly synthesises and directly digitises the NMR signal at 62.5 MHz without any mixing, which means a high quality NMR signal every time. This is the same technology used in most modern high field NMR spectrometers but available now for a fraction of the price.
