Kea DC -400 MHz NMR spectrometer
Magritek recently introduced its new generation of Kea NMR spectrometer, the Kea2, with a significantly extended frequency range and improved performance. In keeping with the original Kea it is powerful but still compact and portable. It weighs less than 5 kg (11 lbs) and has a footprint of 36 cm x 23 cm (12" x 8") and is only 15 cm (5") high which means it takes up less lab space and can also be easily moved and operated in almost any environment.

Modular and Flexible
The Kea spectrometer is modular and can be easily customised for your requirements. For instance it can be supplied either with or without the internal RF amplifier and preamp/duplexor modules, which is useful for integration with existing systems. The Imaging module provides control of up to 4 gradients.
Direct digital transmit and detect
There are no intermediate mixing frequencies used in the Kea which means no quadrature issues. The Kea digital transmit circuit operates at a 1GHz clock rate enabling direct waveform synthesis up to 400MHz. The receive module directly digitises the NMR signal at 100 MHz which enables a high quality, low noise NMR signal. This is the same technology used in most modern high field NMR spectrometers but available with Kea for a fraction of the price.

Portable
The Kea spectrometer is lightweight and small so it is convenient to use in almost any environment. By using standard 24V car batteries the Kea can be operated in virtually any remote location.
