Magritek and LEAP Technologies bring Magritek’s Spinsolve Benchtop NMR Spectrometers to the US and Canadian industrial accounts

Wellington, New Zealand and Carrboro, NC, 7th May 2014: Magritek, a leading provider of compact NMR and MRI instruments, appoints LEAP Technologies as the Distributor for Spinsolve Benchtop NMR Spectrometers for the US and Canadian markets and forms a Partnership to develop automated solutions for the NMR products.

LEAP Technologies was formed in Carrboro, NC in order to serve automation needs in the analytical laboratory with a focus on solutions for chromatography and mass spectrometry. LEAP delivers the automation advantage to R&D, pharmaceutical, polymer, food processing, forensic and academic laboratories. LEAP adds value through higher efficiency, error reduction and tighter specifications for users’ analytical results. Wherever there is a repetitive process for sample collection, sample preparation or delivery to analytical instruments, LEAP’s approach to automation will reduce or eliminate many possible error sources.

Speaking about the distribution appointment, Magritek CEO, Dr Andrew Coy, said “Magritek is very excited to be partnering with LEAP. We look forward to combining our leading Spinsolve Benchtop NMR Spectrometer with LEAP’s capabilities in delivering automation solutions for industrial users. We see this as being particularly important in the fast-growing industrial laboratory market where it is vital to provide rapid analyses whether in the formulation or QC environments.”

LEAP CEO & President, Werner Martin, is equally positive about the new agreement. ”Over the years, we have gained access and acceptance to a large analytical laboratory base with the integration of analytical products and automation technology. LEAP has provided automation solutions to users in industrial accounts, governmental agencies and educational institutions. We see Magritek’s product line fit perfectly to this mix.”
